TEMPLE OF ARTS

WHAT REMAINS WHEN EVERYTHING UNNECESSARY DISSAPPEARS?

This question accompanies my art.

I am interested in the moment when a subject becomes more than its visible form. To get closer to that moment,

I remove everything that distracts from it.

Color, light, symmetry, scale, composition, gesture, and emptiness are used deliberately and serve as my tools of concentration. Every element has a purpose. Nothing is accidental.

That is why a surface may remain empty. That is why a form may become larger than it is in reality. That is why color sometimes appears only sparingly.  I am not interested in the most accurate representation possible, but in the impact of what becomes visible. Always with a clear focus on what should remain in memory.

I love symmetry because it creates calm. The space between things becomes just as important as the things themselves. This is how images emerge between reality and symbol. Images that do not seek certainty, but what is essential.

When composing my songs, I often say: the pauses make the music. The same way of composing finds its way into my images. Often, impact is created not by adding more, but through the conscious act of leaving things out.

My work is not created through addition, but through revealing - in the hope of coming into contact

with what remains.
